Final Post: The Finish Line & Vaudeville

Talent: Grade and Online by Jean-Paul Vial

Brief: The series follows people with serious ailments undergoing treatment to improve their quality of life. The brief was to come up with style that could be instantly recognisable with the series, and to maintain a warm atmosphere whilst dealing with often distressing scenes.

How it was done: We experimented with some LUTs to create a distinctive look, but decided to keep with a more natural contrast setting, with a warm saturated hue. Some glow in the highlights was also used for hospital scenes, to detract from the sterile and cold atmosphere associated in these environments.

The mobile online suite was set up at Vaudeville sound studios where the audio dub was taking place, enabling ease of communication between the dub and online.
