Giving us a Premiere Pro Project For Conforming
This is a basic guide on how to get your Premiere Project over to us for Final Post.
Once you have locked your project, first check your Sequence Settings and ensure that Editing Mode is set to DNX 1080p for a HD deliverable, or DNxHR UHD for a UHD project. Note that even if the final master is to be interlaced, we always advise working in a progressive timeline at this stage.
Next, make a reference video file:
- Select your sequence and then File > Export > Media
- Under Format choose H.264
- Under Preset go with YouTube 720p HD
- Under Effects, scroll down and tick Timecode Overlay. Change Position to Top Left, Offset (X,Y) to (-80, -60) and Size to 10 for a less obtrusive overlay
- Click Export
Once your reference export is complete, make an Audio AAF:
- Select your sequence and then File > Export > AAF
- Use the below settings:
You should now have a reference export, audio AAF and new project file, ready to hand over!
