Review Options from The Finish Line

Review Options from The Finish Line

We are able to provide synchronous and asynchronous review during our finishing process. The asynchronous approach is preferred as it saves a lot of cost to production by having members of the team review and give feedback on their own time rather than having talent, suites and equipment tied up during the process. It also gives the most reliable viewing experience regardless of internet and network challenges that can inhibit live review.

The synchronous option is a great way to quickly spot check changes or adjust elements live when a finer level of control and feedback is required.

Our review options are covered below. Contact our bookings team for pricing and information.

Via your computer or tablet

With no additional cost to production this is our most standard option for review and approval. Utilising your own system and our viewing platform in the Google Chrome browser or dedicated apps, is the best way to accurately and affordably look at the finishing work as it’s completed. We have no control over your display in this situation so even though the file is colour managed for accuracy through to your device we can’t guarantee that your screen will display the image in a way that will match the pictures on our calibrated reference monitors.

Via iPad Pro review system

With this option we supply a review system with everything calibrated and configured to give the most simple and accurate review process. Open it up, type in the access code and you are ready to start reviewing. This is charged per episode so that it’s easy to factor into a post production budget.

Via Apple TV with calibrated monitor

For productions needing a larger screen for review we can configure an Apple TV unit for the project which can be attached to an existing calibrated monitor or provided with one. This approach allows a lot of freedom and is an easy way to have a permanent suite that is setup and configured in a production office or at home for reviews. This option is charged per day and depends largely on the exact configuration required.

At The Finish Line

We have various review sites dotted around the the UK so that in person reviews can be setup when required. Combining remote finishing with a final review in person can be a great way to benefit from the lower cost for remote work and minimising the higher cost of being based in our finishing suites.

If you require pricing or any other information please get in-touch with our team.
