Told entirely through footage and audio from the day itself, with no interviews, the film pieces together previously unheard recordings from military command centres, emergency services, air traffic control, government conference calls and private phone calls alongside unseen footage captured by ordinary people on the ground. Co-commissioned with France Télévisions, the History Channel and VPRO, and sold to broadcasters worldwide.
